Hock Lee Bus
In the early 70s when I first take a bus to my secondary school in Anson Road, there were still Hock Lee Buses. It cost me 10 cents for a one way fare and the bus conductor would punch a hole on the ticket before giving the ticket. I love collecting the bus tickets for those with special numbers like 0000, 1111, 2222, 8888..... Actually, I prefer the Tay Ko Yat Buses because their tickets are colourful and of thicker material unlike those of the Hock Lee bus with are thin and limited in colours. On the left, the pictures show Hock Lee buses on New Bridge Road.
